A key part of Contently is providing organizations a way to write, edit and finalize content.
Writing, Editing and Finalizing Content
Once a story has been created in Contently, it will enter the Workflow. The Workflow is the order of operations that a story goes though from first draft to completion. Only the current assignee (illustrated by the blue box to the right below) can convert the content into text-editor mode and make alterations. However, anyone can provide comments at any time.
When the assigned user is done writing or editing content they can pass it to the next party by clicking the Submit button. If a previous user needs to revise content, you can send it backwards by clicking the Send Back button.
Publishing Content
When the workflow has been completed, the story will be marked Complete, and you can publish it. If you have a CMS Integration with us (WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager 5, custom API) you can simply click the Push to CMS button and the content, tags and fields will arrive in your CMS. If you do not, content needs to be moved manually.
