Custom fields are any additional copy you'd like to add to a story. Examples of these are alternative headlines, pull quotes, etc.

1. Setting up text custom fields
You can create custom fields in your Publication settings tab:
1. Hover over your avatar in the upper righthand corner and click "Publication settings."
2. Click "Custom fields" on the left hand side, underneath "Templates."
3. Click the "Create custom field" button.
4. Title your custom field and enter your maximum character count.
Once this is done, you'll be able to check them off when you create a story brief. This will instruct a contributor to include them when they submit a story:
2. Setting up multimedia custom fields
In order to set up a video or image custom field, navigate to custom fields section under publication settings. The publication settings link can be accessed by hovering over your avatar in the top right corner. This link is only available for only certain user roles.
1. Once you are in the custom fields section, you will click on the create custom field button on top right. It will open the create custom field module.
2. You'll notice there’s a new field called content type. There are three types: image, standard and video.
3. Once you’ve named your custom field, click "Save."
How do I add a multimedia custom field to a story?
Once you’ve created a custom field, it will be available as part of the brief. If a video is needed as part of a story, please check the box next to the video / image custom field and it will be added to a story.
Once the video custom field is added to a story, the participants can click on add video to upload.
Once video is uploaded, it can be previewed and commented on for greater collaboration.
