Custom photography adds unique visual appeal to your content. Images can range from portraits to event coverage to full-scale creative campaigns. Here's what you need to know to get started.
Requesting photo talent
When you need custom photography, submit a talent request in the Contently platform. Be sure to submit your request at least three weeks prior to the shoot date. In your request please include the following:
A description of the project
Where the shoot will take place
A realistic budget
Production needs beyond a lone photographer (i.e., lighting, art direction, wardrobe, makeup, etc.)
Keep in mind, talent requests for projects with unique requirements or locations outside the U.S. may take longer (up to three weeks) to staff.

Getting started
Once you've selected a photographer, arrange a kickoff call to review the project's requirements. Make sure you discuss rates, logistics, and key dates to keep yourself and your photographer on the same page before the project begins.
What you discuss will inform the brief you create in the Contently platform. For tips on how to create a strong photo brief, click here.
