What is Collaborative Editing?
Collaborative Editing allows multiple users to work on a document at the same time. This means you and your team can edit content together, in real-time, without having to wait for one person to finish their part.
Who Can Use This Feature?
Collaborative Editing is available to users with "Owner Permission" within our platform. If you're an owner, you can dive right into editing documents concurrently with other owners and assignees on current workflow steps. This ensures that all key stakeholders can contribute simultaneously, making decision-making and editing a breeze.
Key Capabilities
- Visibility: See who's working on the document with you. User avatars appear in the 'Currently Editing' section, so you know exactly who's in the document at any given time.
- Live Cursor Tracking: Track changes and edits as they happen. When in edit mode, you'll see the cursors of other users, tagged with their initials, making it easier to follow their edits and contributions.
How to Use Collaborative Editing
- Access the Text Editor: Open the story you wish to work on. Ensure that the story is using the latest text editor. If it's using an old editor, the story will need to be cloned on in our latest text editor. Make sure you have Owner Permissions.
- Start Editing: Jump into editing. You'll see the avatars of other active users in the 'Currently Editing' section.
- Follow Cursors: Keep an eye on where others are working in the document, thanks to the cursor tracking feature.
