Freelancer availability. Freelancers may have other projects scheduled and may not be able to deliver a first draft in the timeframe outlined above. To aid in planning, ask freelancers to include estimated turnaround times in your pitch guidelines. Also, feel free to message freelancers directly to set deadlines.
Project scope & requirements. Research- and design-intensive projects may require longer timelines.
Interviews. Interviews are often contingent on the interviewee's availability.
